Cool Boy - Hot Day Page - Challenge Me Happy #16

In celebration of the 48 degree weather in Wisconsin we had today, I thought I would do a summertime page. (Yes, 48 degrees in January is like a heat wave!) I found a great challenge on the Challenge Me Happy site. The recipe for the challenge was to use the following ingredients:

1 photo

2 different cardstocks

3 journaling spots/tags/etc

4 words in the title

5 patterned papers

6 butterflies

I used mainly Echo Park's "Sweet Summertime" kit for the patterned cardstock. I also added some custom white line "stitching" and a couple jewels here and there.

The butterflies were cut using SureCutsAlot 2 and the Oh Hello Flutter svg file from Lettering Delights. I then embossed them with the Divine Swirl folder, bent the wings a bit, and added a jewel in the middle. So adorable!

Isn't my son Lucas just too cute???

Butterfly Card using "Oh Hello Flutter" SVG set from Lettering Delights

This is a great butterfly card that can be used for any occasion! The striped paper is from a great 12 x 12 pad that Amy Butler made for K&Company called "Lotus". The orange and blue patterned papers are out of the "Joy Ride" 6x6 stack from Cosmo Cricket. I added some silver twine from my Grandma Hildie's collection and pop-dotted the butterfly after adding some jewels to her (yes, the butterfly is a "her"!)

The butterfly was cut using the "Oh Hello Flutter" svg set from Lettering Delights. I then embossed it with the D'Vine Swirl folder from Cuttlebug and also sprayed it with the Perfect Pearls Shimmer Mist from Ranger.
