Christmas Lantern Luminaries

Beautiful Christmas Lantern Luminaries made by Sally Jenks
(mom to me)

Hi All! Had a great time at a family "Girl's Christmas Party" -- I know, Christmas already? It was a great time and the girls on my side of the family got to do http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifthe planning. My sister, Emily, and I made some beautiful vases filled with water, cranberries, and floating candles (and my sister made some awesome cake batter dip - yum!) My Aunt Ann made these clever and cute paper hangers that fit on a bottle water and held a Crystal Light package. Today I am sharing these gorgeous Christmas Lantern Luminaries my mom, Sally, made. I tried to help her with it but did not have the talent she has. She made 6 of these and they all looked great. I begged her to let me take one home. She used the "Crisp Days of Fall" svg set from SVGCUTS.com along with SCAL2. She also removed the original leaf pattern and made her own holly for the middle. How clever! These lanterns are illuminated with an LED. I think my favorite part is the poinsettia.

"BOO" 3-D Letters

Hi All! It has been such a long time since my last post. September and October proved to be busy and challenging months both personally and professionally. While my full-time job had me traveling to Shreveport, LA and Minneapolis, MN, my family had all sorts of mini-crises that needed tending to. Good news though is that November is a fresh start.

I wanted to share with you some 3-D letters I made for Halloween. I used files from svgcuts.com and cut them using the Cricut and SCAL 2. I also used Liquidtex and black paint to add the gloss (black and Liquidtex to only the base of the letter; just Liquidtex on the patterned papers.
