Valentine Treat Bags

Here are some cute (and super easy) Valentine Treat Bags I made for Lukeyloo's friends at school (aka daycare). I used some kraft bags I already had and only three cardstock papers from Jillibean soup I got at Archiver's. These were super fun to make and super affordable. I will be posting this to Better Living through Scrapbooking's Facebook page for their February challenge. The challenge was to use brown & pink. The person with the most "likes" wins the challenge. In the bags I had some cute little potted plants from the Target $1 spot and some Tootsie Rolls. The tissue paper is also from the $1 spot - love Target!

Wedding Memory Box

This wedding memory box is one of my absolute favorites. I initially found the plain brown box at Hobby Lobby in their 80% clearance section. I had no clue what I was going to do with it but it was too good of a deal to pass up. As my friend's wedding was approaching, I really wanted to do something more personal for her. I decided to use the box as a "memory box" for her and her new hubby to put sentimentals in like the invitation, corsages, etc.

I knew right away I wanted to do their wedding date in vinyl on the front of the box. The vinyl was cut out of Oracal 631 - Olive.

I then took Mod Podge and glued a patterned paper at the bottom of the box. I used Cosmo Cricket's Social Club Cocktail in "Now Spin Me Round". I also added the flip side of the paper (the red polka dot) to the underneath of the lid.

The lid was looking a little boring so I decided to go old school and do their initials "T+K" in an arrowed heart. The heart was cut from the "Monster Love" svg file from Lettering Delights. Click HERE to check it out on their site. Their initials were rub-ons from Doodlebug's All Mixed Up - Beetle Black large.

I also used string to make a banner that had their wedding date. The numbers were cut from Collage Press' Sunnyside Lane cardstock.

Chandelier Wedding Gift Wrapping

I LOVE Tiffany Blue and Black together. That color combination inspired this pretty package for my friend Kelly's wedding. The wrapping paper and black satin ribbon was left over from my wedding (back in 2007). The chandelier and lettering was done in black vinyl. I find the vinyl much easier to apply than paper, especially for lettering.

The font I used for their names was CK Ali from Ali Edwards.
This free font can be downloaded HERE

Click HERE for a link to the "The Free SVG Blog" where I got the Chandelier SVG file I used. The exact one is no longer on there (boo!) but there is another one.

"Thanks for Shoveling" Treat Bags

My husband and I purchased our first house last spring. We haven't had the chance yet to but a snow blower. Fortunate for us we have absolutely wonderful neighbors that helped us plow through this winter. We thanked them be hand-delivering a dozen chocolate chip cookies in these cute treat bags. I had to use 2 per neighbor as the bags were too small to fit all 12 cookies.

I used the Betty's Bags file from SVGcuts.com to cut the bags - "bag handles short" file. One 12 x 12 sheet cuts one bag. I then cut out a birdie using the Cricut. The sentiment "Enjoy" was cut from the Cindyloo Cricut cartridge. Much of the patterned paper is from the "Berry Sweet" line of papers from K&Company.

Wrapping It Simple

I made this hang tag to include on a gift bag for a bridal shower. The letter "R" is from an Anne Geddes branded chipboard letters I got on clearance from Archivers. I used the outside part of the letter rather than the "R" itself. I then layered on green paper and purple paper. I punched a hole using a standard hole punch. The purple ribbon was already on the bag. Keeping it simple and beautiful!
